Re: The Altec User's Board Free Marketplace !

As many of you know, I am looking to build a set of Altec small format field coil drivers. I have a cast pot 802 that I dismantled to get all of the dimensions from to give to Hentai in Japan for magnetic circuit simulations and to design a new pole piece and coil.
I was dismayed to find that this unit has been damaged, someone has damaged the front of the phase plug behind the bug screen and used way to long screws to hold the diaphragm on. This bent the retaining plate very badly. So my search for one matching driver has turned into two of the old cast drivers. Either 802 or 808, doesn't matter as the pots are the same. I have limited funds, but I'm open to trades. Does anyone have some old drivers? Don't need to be pretty, I can clean them up. Actually, I'd rather not cannibalize a good looking set if I can help it.
    Thank you

On Edit: Looks like I found a very early 808-8A driver, SN 00954, should be here by the end of the week. Willing to trade for an 808/802 cast pot driver.

    Re: Altec 828 Cabinets

I have a pair of Altec Cabinet 828 ? Custom Built by skilled cabinet maker using Baltic Birch Ply 3/4? for sale.

It is in excellent condition, I recently built this cabinet for my personal use and I hardly used it. I ran this with 515B/416-8B, 288C/802D drivers and 1005B/511B horns.

Considering the size and weight, local pick up only. I live in Columbus, Ohio. Please let me know if you have any questions or more pictures.

    Asking Price - $400

    Thank you,
    Sri

Re: EV large format horns! HR9040

These are the Don Kelle designed HR9040 fiber glass horns designed for the Altec large format drivers. The flare end is 39.5 x 18 inches! Due to there size, I'm not interested in shipping. They are BIG! I received these in a bit of a lop sided trade to help my old friend's widow out. If I could get 250.00 or trade for some interesting Altec gear or even tube gear I'd be happy.
Think of the block party you could have!

    Re: altec 421 and 811b

looking for a pair of altec 421's and a pair of 811b's. The 421 are to be reconed, so a blown pair is fine.
    thanks
